Day 1: Johannesburg – Kasane – Chobe River

Today you will arrive in Kasane via Johannesburg or Victoria Falls and will be transferred to your safari lodge on the Chobe River for your 2 night stay. There will be time for an afternoon activity, experiencing the wildlife of the Chobe on a game drive or romantic boat cruise. You return to your safari lodge for cocktails before a candlelit dinner with the sounds of the African night serenading you.

Day 2: Chobe River

The lodge is outside the National Park and it will be an early start this morning. Today you will explore the Chobe National Park, famous for its large herds of Elephants, on game drives and romantic boat cruises or you may choose to do some fishing for the legendary Tiger fish. You could also decide on a morning activity to the Victoria Falls, which is a short drive across the border.

During the heat of the day, a cruise out on the river for a spot of fishing and just being in nature is the perfect siesta time. The afternoon activity will be the best time for a boat cruise leading into a sunset cruise, to experience the magic of the Chobe River. The birdlife in the area is exceptional even for those who have never been interested in birds before.

Day 3: Chobe River – Okavango

Today you will fly over the vast interior of the Northern Botswana wilderness as you head to your bush camp deep in the Okavango Delta where you spend the next 2 nights. There will be time for an afternoon activity exploring this unique wetland. Activities here are water-based and include boat cruises, makoro safaris (guided canoeing) and walks on the islands.

Day 4: Okavango

Today you may choose to do a full day outing which includes a makoro ride, walking and enjoying a picnic on the islands, or you may want a morning activity and some time to rest up in the heat of the day.

The afternoon activity will take you out into the heart of the Delta once more where your guide will share this unique place with you. There is no better way for a romantic interlude in Africa than on a dugout canoe with your loved one, enjoying the wonders of this pristine area.

Day 5: Okavango

Today you transfer to a new bush camp in a dugout canoe. You cross beautiful floodplains and pass intimate islands where you may stop off en-route to enjoy a cup of tea or a drink. You will arrive at your new camp in time for lunch and some downtime to reflect on your morning. You will be spending the next 2 nights here, enjoying the extraordinary peace of this unbelievable place.

Day 6: Okavango

Activities here include nature walks, boat cruises and dugout canoe rides - but such is the beauty of the place that you may decide to spend your time just taking in the soul of the Okavango. Here you set your own pace as time is of no importance.

Day 7: Okavango – Maun – Johannesburg

There will be time for some last reflection before a flight to Maun to catch your onward flight to Johannesburg.
