Days 1 & 2: Camp Okavango, Botswana

Upon your arrival in Maun, and after clearing Botswana customs and immigration, you will be met by a representative and assisted onto your scheduled charter flight to Camp Okavango. Enjoy this awesome bird's eye view of the Okavango Delta, taking very special memories and moments of Africa with you that will stay with you forever.

Camp Okavango is situated on the remote Nxaragha Island in the heart of the permanent Okavango Delta, assuring a year-round water wilderness experience. Camp Okavango's unashamed luxury blends with the Africa of old in the elegant thatch and lethaka main lodge buildings.

The dining room leads onto an expansive open-air patio for evenings around the open boma. Other lodge facilities include a cocktail bar, lounge, wildlife reference library, a secluded bird-viewing hide, shaded hammocks, a delightful sun deck and plunge pool for relaxing during the hot midday hours during a Botswana safari.

Camp Okavango accommodates only 24 guests in intimate exclusivity in East African-style safari tents individually situated on raised teak platforms with en-suite facilities and private sun decks. Each tent is exquisitely furnished with an African teak wardrobe, luggage rack, dressing table, bedside pedestals and traditional director's chairs.

Days 3 & 4: Savute Safari Lodge, Botswana

After breakfast and your morning activity (if time allows) you will depart on a charter flight from Camp Okavango to Savute Safari Lodge. Savute Safari Lodge accommodates just 24 people in contemporary furnished twin-bedded luxury suites constructed of wood, thatch and glass, making them ideal for the hot and dry conditions. Double volume suites with their spacious interior and large, glass sliding doors set the lodge apart from typical Botswana safari accommodation.

Large private viewing decks and en-suite facilities, with showers, 'his and hers' towel robes and tea and coffee making facilities combine to make Savute Safari Lodge an unforgettable Botswana safari experience.

Your stay at Savute Safari Lodge is inclusive of accommodation, all meals, local brand beverages, laundry service, scheduled game-viewing activities and park entry fees. Safari activities include game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles in the Savute area, including the Savute Marsh and a visit to the ancient San rock paintings at Gubatsa Hills.

Days 5 & 6: Ilala Lodge, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

After breakfast, you be transferred via charter flight to Kasane Airport, where you will be met by a representative and transferred via road to Ilala Lodge in Zimbabwe, Victoria Falls.

Ilala Lodge offers distinguished yet affordable accommodation in a gracious and secluded ambiance. The decor evokes a bygone era of adventure and the quest of discovery in Africa.

The hotel is ideally situated and is the closest to the Victoria Falls as well as the town centre. The National Park borders the front of property and wild animals often graze on the hotel lawns with the spray of the falls in the background. Ilala Lodge offers 32 rooms - 24 twins, 6 doubles and 2 suites.

All rooms have en suite bathroom with seperate shower, air conditioning, overhead fan and satellite TV and are served early morning tea/coffee, fruit basket and homemade biscuits. The rooms are spacious with railway sleeper teak furnishings and patio doors leading onto either open lawn or a balcony where you are afforded a view of the spray of the falls.

A warm welcome awaits you at the world class a la carte Palm Restaurant. The restaurant offers superb cuisine while you relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the gracious surrounds. The Palm Restaurant serves breakfast lunch and dinner and offers a comprehensive wine list and cocktails. Dining outside under the African night sky amidst the sound of the mighty waterfall makes for a romantic evening to be remembered.

The Ra-Ikane is a small luxury cruise boat that is out-fitted to suggest, in exquisite detail, an ambiance of a bygone era. Paying tribute to Ra-Ikane, one of the guides who first led David Livingstone to the Victoria Falls, this cruise boat is exclusive and personalised and designed to complement your stay. Period decor, historic memorabilia, fine cuisine and refreshments characterise a level of comfort and grace unsurpassed on the Zambezi. Game can often be spotted from the water too.

Day 7: Depart

After breakfast (depending on your departure details), you will depart Ilala Lodge on a scheduled road transfer to Vic Falls Airport, in time for your flight back to Johannesburg International Airport.

Please Note:

All charters have been booked on a seat on charter basis. Due to the nature of travel in light aircraft, mainly because of safety and space concerns, baggage is restricted to 20 kilograms (44 pounds), per person. This baggage must be soft sided so to allow for it to be packed properly.

If you do have extra bags or have suitcases heavier than the specified allowance, please advise your travel consultant as soon as the booking is made so that the needed arrangements can be made for the baggage to be transferred or stored at an additional cost.
