Day 1: Johannesburg to Kalahari Gateway

Leave behind Johannesburg for a change of scenery and to embark on an unforgettable journey through the North-West Province en-route to the Botswana border. Expect border formalities before continuing to the Trans-Kalahari to your overnight stop. After a long day of travelling, enjoy a slumber in the small village of Kang. (Lunch and dinner included)

Day 2: Kalahari Gateway to Kalahari

Today is all about exploring your incredible surroundings and interacting with the San People as you venture deeper into the Central Kalahari. Power up with lunch and discover the Kalahari with a San guide for a guided walking safari. Learn all about how the indigenous San hunters’ survival tactics in the Kalahari Desert.

After sunset, gather around the campfire and witness the San traditions told through story telling, song and dance. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Day 3: Kalahari to Maun

Wave goodbye to the San people as you climb into your vehicle and depart for Maun - the gateway to the renowned Okavango Delta. Spend the day viewing the landscapes and dusty roads from your window. After you have settled in to your Maun accommodation, you will be briefed on what to take with you on Okavango Delta. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Day 4: Okavango Delta

Your epic exploration of the Okavango Delta starts today. Teeming with wildlife, Okavango Delta is known as “the river that never finds the sea”, you will discover the channels of crystal clear waters that run over the arid Kalahari. Sit back and watch as you spot red lechwe, sitatunga prance through this wildlife sanctuary. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Day 5: Okavango Delta

Spend the day discovering the secrets of the Okavango Delta - one of Africa’s greatest natural wonders - on guided excursions. Dependent on the season and the water levels, you can enjoy an unforgettable, traditional Mokoro cruise and explore the Delta on foot.

Mokoro boats allows you to fully experience the magic of the delta through sound and sight. Sit back and watch the action of the wilderness unfold as the boat-man sails you through sparkling water channels. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Day 6: Okavango Delta to Caprivi Region

Today you will leave behind Okavango Delta and take the wonderful memories with you, as you cross the Namibian border for Caprivi Strip to create more. Keep an eye open for for incredible species of wildlife as you make you travel through the rugged African wilderness.

Get enough rest at your overnights stop, as you prepare for an action-packed day in nature’s playground - Chobe National Park - tomorrow. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Day 7: Caprivi Region to Kasane (Chobe)

After a hearty breakfast you will depart to your Botswana accommodation, which rests on the banks of the Chobe River. Enjoy a quick lunch from your vehicle and stretch your legs before journeying off into the bush. Your bush exploration starts with a game drive in a specialised safari vehicle.

Chobe is renowned for its abundant of elephants, and you can admire these wonderful creatures at the riverfront. A leisurely boat cruise followed by meal around the campfire is the perfect way to end of the day. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Day 8: Kasane to Victoria Falls

Leave behind Kasane and cross the border to Zimbabwe for a chance to see the Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River in all its glory. There are plenty of ways you can explore Victoria Falls. Today you will get a chance to view the Zambezi River gushing through the Batoka Gorge, and venture on optional activities that range from adrenaline pumping bungee jumping, a lovely high tea at Victoria Falls Hotel, shopping the craft markets, or a boma dining experience. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Day 9: Victoria Falls and onwards

Spend your last day doing whatever excites you. Whether it is white water rafting, observing the smoke and thunder of the Victoria Falls from a helicopter, or exploring the attractions of Victoria Falls. Exchange telephone numbers with new friendships made. (Breakfast included)

Participation & Tour Options

This tour is a limited participation tour and your assistance is required with washing up duties, food preparation, loading and unloading of your own bag, keeping the truck and cooler box clean and general helping around camp. This Victoria Falls and Botswana Adventure Tour is available as an accommodated or as a camping tour.

The camping tour is the most budget friendly option but you will have to put up your own tent, use communal ablutions and bring your own sleeping bag. The accommodated tour gives you more comfort staying in 2 - 3 star type accommodation normally with en-suite bathroom.
