    On this pristine wildlife explorer safari in Botswana guests will travel overland in a comfortable 4x4 vehicle, allowing for a first-hand view of Botswana’s spectacular and varied landscapes with awesome wildlife thrown in to the mix. The campsites are wonderfully located to enhance the wildlife safari experience. Witness romantic sunsets and relax with the sounds of nature around you. This is an African safari as it should be – with only the necessary luxuries and the wilderness as your home.

    From the world’s largest salt pans, Makagadikgadi to the world’s largest inland delta, Okavango, this Botswana safari will leave you wanting more. Chobe National Park and Victoria Falls are two African icons that will be visited in this amazing safari in Botswana.

    Day 1: Livingstone, Zambia

    You will fly in to Livingstone for the overnight before the early start of the safari in the morning.

    Day 2: Nata Sanctuary, Botswana

    Depart Livingstone early by road transfer, border crossing to Botswana where you will meet your guide for the safari. Guide will assist with drinks purchase in Kasane before heading on to Nata Sanctuary. Nata Sanctuary is situated on the edge of the Madgadigadi Salt Pans which offers spectacular scenery and various water birds (in season) and makes for a truly unique camping experience. Enjoy a sunset on the pans.

    Day 3 & 4: Nxai Pan National Park, Botswana

    After a light breakfast, we break camp and head for Nxai Pan National Park. Lunch is taken en route and after a short rest we continue to Nxai Pan. Camping for the next two nights is in the Nxai Pan National Park.

    The area is known for large herds of Springbok and the water-hole at the heart of the pan allows for some spectacular scenery. (The water-hole is where the National Geographic IMAX documentary “ROAR” was filmed)

    Day 5: Maun, Sedia Hotel, Botswana

    Today we move on to the frontier town of Maun. A short drive takes us to our hotel where there is a pleasant bar and a swimming pool. The afternoon is at leisure.

    Day 6 & 7: Xaxanaka, Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana

    We travel by road to Xakanaxa which forms part of the permanent Delta. The area boasts some of the best game sightings in Botswana. Game viewing is done along the waterways and floodplains. Species such as lion, leopard, elephant, giraffe, zebra and wildebeest are but a few that occur here. We also explore the crystal clear channels of the Okavango Delta by motor boat with a picnic lunch.

    Day 8 & 9: North Gate, Moremi Game Reserve

    We take a leisurely drive to our campsite in the Khwai area of Moremi Game reserve. This area’s diversity of game is astounding and the reserve has been hailed one of the best in the world. Morning and afternoon game drives will showcase the diversity of the area. There is of course, that obligatory siesta during the hottest part of the day.

    Day 10 & 11: Savuti, Chobe National Park , Botswana

    Moving through the Mababe Depression, we relocate to Savuti where we camp on the edge of the dry Savuti Channel. Morning and afternoon game viewing along the fringes of the dry marsh and surrounding water holes spring surprises at every turn. The area is best known for large populations of bull elephants.

    Day 12 & 13: Serondella area, Chobe National Park

    We journey north toward the Chobe River – home to some of the world’s largest elephant breeding herds; large numbers of big game such as buffalo, hippo and lion can be seen here. We explore the region on morning and evening game drives and an optional boat cruise isavailable.

    Day 14: Victoria Falls, Livingstone, Zambia

    Today is a short transfer via Kazungula border- to LVI where you will have the afternoon at leisure for optional activities on your African safari. Overnight Zambezi Waterfront

    Day 15: Victoria Falls

    Your African safari in Botswana ends today.
