What to expect from this 11 Day Northern Explorer Experience:

This Botswana safari experience can be done either starting from Maun or starting from Kasane. You can look forward to excellent game viewing opportunities and discovering Botswana's wilderness. Enjoy day and night game drives while keeping an eye out for African wildlife.

You will also be able to enjoy a leisurely cruise on the Chobe River and explore the palm fringed islands in the Okavango. Travel by boat through some of the waterways and enjoy some game viewing.

Guests should note that although the itineraries have been planned precisely, the tour is still dependent on external factors such as extreme weather and conditions beyond anyone's control.

Days 1-3: Xakanaxa, Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana

Start your Botswana safari experience by travelling from Maun to Xakanaxa situated in the Moremi Game Reserve. You will be able to stop for a delicious picnic lunch en route and arrive at the pre-erected camp in time to enjoy sundowners.

For the next 3 nights you will be staying at the tented camp in Xakanaxa. Wake up early to a light breakfast before heading out on an exciting game drive. Discover the surrounding wilderness and spot some of Africa's wildlife.

Day 4 & 5: Khwai Community Area, Botswana

Enjoy an early morning game drive before exploring the endless waterways by motor boat. You will be able to explore some of the palm fringed islands on foot. After spending the day on water, you will return to dry land and head towards the Khwai community area.

Spend the 2 nights comfortably in an exclusive campsite in the community area. Look forward to day and night game drives and exploring the Khwai floodplains. Discover the nocturnal wildlife in the surrounding area.

Guests should note that night game drives are not allowed within the national parks and reserve and will only be conducted outside the boundaries in the Khwai community area.

Days 6-8: Savuti, Chobe National Park, Botswana

On day 6 you will travel north to wards the Chobe National Park. Spend 3 nights camping in an exclusive wilderness campsite. You will be able to explore the dessert-like landscape and search for African game on game drives.

Day 9 & 10: Chobe River, Chobe National Park, Botswana

You will continue your journey north and arrive at the lush wilderness campsite situated along the Chobe River. Explore the riverbanks and the surrounding floodplains on game drives. You can look forward to a leisurely afternoon boat cruise on the Chobe River and enjoy a scenic African sunset.

Day 11: Kasane, Botswana

Today is the last day of your Botswana safari experience. After a delicious breakfast and an early morning game drive, you will travel to Kasane and arrive at about 10am. The guide will either drop you off at the Kasane Airport or road transfer you to your hotel in Kasane or Victoria Falls or Livingstone.
