Day 1: Relax at Your Accommodation in Maun
After either self-driving or flying into Maun you will be collected at Maun International Airport and transferred to a comfortable lodge in Maun on the banks of the Thamalakane River.
Here you can settle into your room which has an en-suite bathroom, Wi-Fi and a private patio. You can relax at the swimming pool or have a sundowner drink at the bar which overlooks the river.
Have a leisurely supper and an early night to ensure you wake up ready for an exciting day on safari.
Day 2: Full Day Safari in Moremi Game Reserve
Today you will start your day trip to Moremi Game Reserve early at around 6 am. You will be provided with a packed breakfast, tea and coffee for a light breakfast stop when you reach the park entrance.
You will also have a packed lunch at around 1 pm at a picnic spot chosen by your guide who will endeavour to give you the best wildlife viewing experience.
In Moremi Game Reserve you can witness the spectacle of elephants wading through shimmering waters, graceful giraffes silhouetted against golden sunsets, and majestic lions prowling through lush vegetation.
The convergence of permanent water sources and seasonal habitats fosters an extraordinary concentration of animals, making every game drive a mesmerizing journey of discovery.
You will arrive back at the lodge at around 6 pm after a thrilling day on safari.
Day 3: Full Day Mokoro Day Trip
You will start the day early to make the most of your mokoro day trip! You will arrive at the boat station and board the boat with your captain and guide. Cruise the interior waterways looking for wildlife and casually discussing with your guide any questions you have about the Delta and the wildlife you find.
Once you reach the island you will embark on a one-hour game walk to view the wildlife on foot and explore this unique environment. At the conclusion of the game walk you arrive at the picnic lunch location where a table and chairs are set up in a serene spot for you to enjoy your meal.
Get your cameras ready (but whatever you do don't drop them!) to capture the awesome scenes from your traditional dug-out canoe, known locally as a mokoro. Glide tranquilly along the pristine waterways watching wildlife on the shore.
In the afternoon, board the boat for more cruising time where you can look for specific species of wildlife or locations of interest before your transfer back to Maun, arriving back at your lodge just in time for supper.
Day 4: Bid Farewell
Enjoy a hearty breakfast and possibly you could enjoy an optional extra spa treatment before your transfer back to Maun International Airport for your onward arrangements.
