The Classic Okavango & Savuti Fly-in Safari combines the pristine waterways of the Okavango Delta with the once dry interior of the Savute. Staying in classic game lodges this safari package allows you to experience the best of a Botswana holiday at affordable prices.

The Okavango Delta can be experienced on game drives, dugout canoes and nature walks and as the safari lodge is outside of the National Park there is more flexibility in the activities you can do.

From the Okavango Delta the trip moves on to Savute in the Chobe National Park. Here you will explore the area on game drives. Your experienced guides will share their extensive knowledge of this region, the wildlife and the changing landscape.

Day 1: Maun – Okavango Delta

This morning you will fly-in from Johannesburg O.R. Tambo to Maun Airport. A short connecting flight from Maun in a light aircraft over the Okavango Delta brings you to your bush lodge where you will spend the next 2 nights. The game lodge is situated in the northern region of the Delta characerised by a mixture of seasonal floodplains and permanent water.

Day 2: Okavango Delta

Today you will enjoy the full activities at the game lodge. Activities include game drives, night drives, dugout canoes and walks and knowledgeable guides will ensure that you get the best overall experience. Early morning and evening game drives provide the best opportunities for you to see the predators that inhabit the area.

Day 3: Okavango Delta - Savuti

A flight from the Delta takes you into another world of desert sand and scrub. Your bush camp for the next 2 nights is situated in the legendary Savute area overlooking a small waterhole. From here you can explore the area on game drives, looking for the predators that made Savute famous.

Day 4: Savuti, Chobe National Park

The Savute has undergone tremendous changes in the past 2 years, with the channel that had been dry for 25 years suddenly flowing again. This has changed the whole dynamic of the area and watching the wildlife adapt to these changes is a unique experience. Morning and afternoon game drives will ensure that you enjoy the best of what Savute offers.

Day 5: Savuti – Maun

There will be time for a morning activity before your flight to Maun and the connecting flight to Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport.

This package is based on a 5 day fly-in safari, a combination of Savuti and Okavango Delta for 2 guests sharing en-suite accommodation, fully inclusive holiday with scheduled flights ex/to Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport.
