Day 1: Johannesburg – Maun – Okavango
Arriving in Maun from Johannesburg you will be transferred to your child friendly bush camp in the Okavango Delta in a light aircraft, viewing the amazing patterns of this wetland wonderland from the air. You will arrive in time for lunch before settling in with your family in anticipation of your safari together. You will be in the heart of the Delta meaning that the activities are water-based and at night you can lie awake and listen to the sounds of the nocturnal creatures.
Day 2: Okavango
You rise early this morning as you look forward to activities in this area that will have you awed at every moment. The guides will point out the fascinating creatures of the Delta and all the intricacies of this complicated wetland. You will return to the bush camp for brunch after which the guides spend time telling wonderful stories to the family.
There will be time to relax together and reminisce about the morning activity as you look to what lies ahead on your family safari. Tea is served before the late afternoon activity, and there may even be time for a Sundowner before you head back to the bush camp.
Day 3: Okavango
Today you will head out across the Delta to your next camp situated in the South Western floodplains, certainly one of the most beautiful areas in Africa. The bush camp you will stay at for the next 2 nights has a special deck for children with a swimming pool.
Day 4: Okavango
An early start will allow you to experience the sunrise in the Okavango. The activities will depend on the season and the level of water. At high water, activities will revolve around boat cruises and dugout canoe rides and at low water, game drives will be the chosen activity. The family can enjoy the morning activities together and then after brunch, choose to relax by the pool, take a nap or play in the children's area.
The afternoon activity will also depend on the water levels but there will always be the opportunity for a night drive to experience the dramatic interactions of the nocturnal creatures.
Day 5: Okavango – Maun – Johannesburg
Your Botswana family holiday draws to a close, but there will be time this morning for an activity before flying into Maun to catch the onward flight to Johannesburg.

This family safari package is based on a 5 day fly-in safari, for a family of 3 or a family of 4 with children 12 years or younger in an en-suite family room sharing, fully inclusive with scheduled flights ex/to Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport.
Rates are valid for 2012 / 2013 but may vary depending on the season and daily currency exchange rate. If you want to stay longer with your family, days can be extended.
