Days 1 - 3: Kings Pool, Linyanti Botswana

You will be met upon arrival in Maun and assisted to your scheduled charter flight to Kings Pool. Botswana’s dramatic and varied wilderness can be seen from the air during the approximately 45 minute flight.

Kings Pool has nine canvas and thatch rooms looking out over the Linyanti River and the Kings Pool Lagoon. A lounge, private plunge pool and sala come with each room to provide relaxation during siesta time. Animals have free movement through the camp as it raised on wooden platforms and walkways.

Guests can get up close and personal to animals, and in particular elephants, from the safety of hides in the area. These hides are well known as place to watch animals coming down to drink with one in the vivinity of the camp allowing for siesta time game watching. .

Kings Pool has a high predator population and one of the highest concentrations of elephants in Africa during the dry season when they congregate around the permanent waters of the Linyanti. Linyanti is arguably the most underrated wildlife area in Africa.

Days 4 - 6: Mombo, Botswana

A short flight will bring you to the legendary Mombo where you will spend the next three nights. Mombo is situated in the Moremi Game Reserve at the top end of Chief’s Island and it is here where wildlife gathers in numbers to feed on the nutritious grasses – and in tow is one of the highest concentrations of predators in Africa.

Mombo has 9 spacious and luxurious tents looking out over a floodplain. Wildlife often concentrates on the floodplain in front of camp and as the walkways are raised above the ground wildlife wanders freealy around the camp. Little Mombo is connected to the main camp by raised walkways and is identical in style and feel to the main camp.

As Mombo is located at the top end of chief’s island there is a great gathering of wildlife throughout the year – herbivores as well as predators. Mombo has been the subject of many dramatic natural history documentaries and it will not fail to awe.

Day 7: Depart

After a morning activity you will depart Mombo Camp in time to catch your connecting flight from Maun Airport.

All charters have been booked on a seat on charter basis. Due to the nature of travel in light aircraft, mainly because of safety and space concerns, baggage is restricted to 20 kilograms (44 pounds), per person. This baggage must be soft sided so to allow for it to be packed properly.

If you do have extra bags or have suitcases heavier than the specified allowance, please advise your travel consultant as soon as the booking is made so that the needed arrangements can be made for the baggage to be transferred or stored at an additional cost.
